Taking a photograph can be thought of as a two step process. First, the photographer identifies a possible shot and constructs in his/her minds eye a vision of the desired photograph. Second, the camera's buttons and dials are set to implement the vision, and the photograph is taken. There are many excellent technical books about how to take "good photographs". In their pages will be found the secrets of focussing, depth of field, exposure, filters, lenses, when to use a tripod, etc. In the following I concentrate not on these technical things, but on some less technical tips. |
