These marsupial creatures exist only in Tasmania. They are carnivores, and feed on dead and dying animals. Their call is more of a ghastly screech, which combined with their beastly appearance perhaps explains why they are referred to as devils. I recorded them at feeding time. In track 1, one of the devils takes off with the meal and the others give chase. In track 2, the fight is on. In track 3 the spoils have been divided and it’s time to eat. Track 4 is a soundscape in stereo.
