The mysterious "whip crack" call of the Australian whipbird. The sound is actually often made by a male and female pair working together as a team: the male does the initial drawn out rising whistle and crack sound, with the female sometimes performing following sounds. Background rainforest birds from south-eastern Australia are also heard.
Scientific name: Psophodes olivaceus.
Natural sound effect.
