My Lightbox
The Lightbox is a space where you can store photos for future reference. If you have to suggest some comp photos to someone else, or want to show off some of your own portfolio, you can email the Lightbox to someone.
Avatars
Avatars are the icons that represent your member profile on iStock. If you want to upload a new Avatar to the collection, go to 'Edit Profile' and click on 'Upload Avatar'. Avatar images must be a 25x25 pixel GIF or JPG.
Personal Blog
Every iStock member now has a personal blog. Start your blog today by click in the "Add Profile Blog Post" link on the "My Profile" page. Members posts are visible on their public profile page.
Site Mail
iStock now has member-to-member mailboxes. Send site mail to anyone by clicking on their name and 'Send Site Mail'.
Colour Scheme
An ingenious color flipper, plus a CSS color randomizer. Expertly coded by Brentman, rocketscience and Danma.
Account Information
Your account balance and activity is always visible to you in the upper part of the screen. When your account balance and download remaining reach zero, you will have to buy more credits in order to continue downloading. Do this by clicking on 'Buy Download Credits'.
Member Tools
Members now have full control over their own files. If a spelling mistake has been made in the title, keywords need to be added, updates to images are needed or you simply want to remove a file from iStock, members are able to control every aspect of their submissions. The "My Uploads" page provides a detail report for your upload files (including details of the downloads for each individual file).
File Size Estimate
Download times and sizes at different scales are now calculated on the fly by the super-duper database.
Deactivating Files
Members can now deactivate files so that they are no longer visible to any other members. The deactivate button is available on the image page.
Advanced Searches
Members are now able to search titles, file number, by member name, keywords, categories, search within results. You can also organize your results by image shape, file size, and upload date!
Better Searches for World Peace
A better relevance algorithm, improved boolean search support (AND, OR, NOT, +, -), spell checking and spelling suggestions, find similar images, and a content filter to hide potentially offensive images!
View Member Portfolio
If you like a member's work, you can now click on their name and view on their name to find an extended list of Photographer details.
Public Galleries
Create a gallery of your work, or work you like, and share it with other members.
Rating System
A member driven rating system (0-5 cameras) is in the details page of every file.
Forums
Excellent new forums were added in Version 6 of iStockphoto, including those stupid little happy/frowny/winky faces, urls, image placement and ubb code.
Designer Spotlight
Submit a design project to istockphoto’s Design Spotlight! You can submit your own project or an example of istockphoto in action that you’ve spotted.

Support Engine
Click on the Support button. See a list of frequently accessed help topics, launch the Help Engine, or contact us using the customized support forms. Our support staff will get you an answer as quickly as possible.
Help Engine
The Help Engine is part of the Support Engine and lets you find the answers you need. Search by keywords, ask a question like, "How do I upload?". The new help engine is part knowledge base and part "Ask" application. We hope you like it.

Search all forum threads or just the threads in a particular forum. Lets you access the knowledge of the past. Amazing!
