Description
Iron gate in limestone wall of the Goldie Mill ruins in Guelph, Ontario. The mill was one of the largest flour manufacturing facilities in Ontario. The Goldie family ran the mill until 1918 when it was sold. Milling operations ended in 1929 when much of the mill was washed away by a flood. In its' day the building was used as distillery, foundry, a tannery and a piggery.
