Titles, keywords, description read during upload

OK, a new fix has been pushed today to read the metadata in your uploaded files during import. Please give it a thorough testing and report back any problems.

You do still need to disambiguate and finish the upload process in 24 hours (or less) or the data will be lost.

As a frequent and noisy complainer about the metadata bugs, I'd just like to note that the last 4 or so uploads (all since the fixes) all had their metadata read - thanks!!

Would love to give you some feedback if only the FTP upload was working?!?!?! I have tried the last few days...and finally yesterday and today it won't work at all for me...I have been waiting for my confirmation e-mail and never got anything. Several days ago it seemed to take a couple out of a batch of 8...then I tried the next day 4 and it took one random one...and now it won't take anything...ugh!!!!

I uploaded a file just now and its metadata was not read

Can you give that another try? I can't replicate the problem (so far). Not sure if you just hit a temp glitch that is corrected or if this has become an intermittent problem (again).

I was shooting this morning, but I just uploaded one and the metadata was read.


One in a row - it's fixed I uploaded another and the metadata was gonzo

And another, also missing its metadata.


Not fixed...

I uploaded six images today, it went in this order. Two read, one not read, two read, one not read. On the ones that didn't read the data I tried the old 'click on forums tab and click go back' trick with no success. On one of them I even canceled the upload and re-uploaded but still no go.

I'd say things are about the same as before the server migration - something like half the time the metadata isn't read. Any official word on what now? Should we save the file numbers of things that don't read so developers can look at them (although in my case everything is produced with the same tools and workflow so I don't see obvious reasons why one works and another doesn't)?

Sure, file numbers could be helpful.

I just finished uploading 6 files and 5 of them didn't have the metadata imported with them.  Sure glad I know how to cut & paste, but this is really getting quite irritating.  I hope the bug can be exterminated soon!  I use Firefox and NOT IE8.

The problem still there, failed to read metadata.


To solve this, I browse to any thread in forum, then re-upload again, the metadata will shows up again. 

I tried the browse in the forum trick this morning (it used to work for me a long time ago when this bug first appeared) and then went to my unfinished files (10676210) but it didn't work - metadata still not read.


I'm not going to bother posting any more file numbers unless someone asks.

It has been three days and i am still waiting.

No, normally you would wait longer than that

Metadata still not read. I tried about 7 times and it worked one time. 

uploaded 4 last night and no metadata read.

No metadata... Yesterday the same problem with a few of my images...
