Welcome to the iStock Logo Design Resources thread!

The iStock Forums have tons of threads recommending great books, tips and tricks, and vector related tutorials: we figured it was time to put them in one place for our logo designers. There's something for everyone here, from beginner to expert.

iStock Logo Design Submission Requirements

Not sure if your vector logo file meets our EPS (AI8) requirements? Take a read through this article. It tells you how to find out if your file format is acceptable, and offers some easy tips on how to make it AI8 EPS friendly.

Not sure about what/how to upload a logo design to iStock? Check out our handy Logo Training Manual for all the dirt on the required file formats, account information, technical requirements and design considerations.

Unsure why one of your images may have been declined? Feel free to post a large (watermarked!) version of your file in our Critique Request forum. Our community is always willing to help!

Keyboard shortcuts for AI CS2 (and most other AI versions)

Open Shape Selection Plugin: An absolute life saver. Use this plugin to quickly and easily find open shapes, rasterized objects, and much more in your vector files. For all versions of AI on a Mac, and for PC up to CS3 (see below for PC CS4).

ExtendedSelect for Adobe Illustrator CS4: Basically the same as the Open Shape Selection Plugin, but with a few extra goodies. For PC CS4.

Point Control: A plugin chock full of path and point editing features. A bargain for only $10!

Better Handles: An Adobe Illustrator tool for creating and editing B├ęzier curve handles

EZConstrain: A free Adobe Illustrator plugin for changing and resetting the constrain angle

SnapMeasure: A better measuring tool for Adobe Illustrator

Color Lovers: A great site to visit if you're having doubts about the colors you're using. Put together your own color palettes and see what's trendy

Silhouette: A handy vectorizing application for those who don't have access to LiveTrace, Streamline, etc. Free trial version available, and you can get a plugin for pre-CS 2 Illustrator

Freehand: 30 day free trial download

Daz3D: 3D Modelling software, good for creating figure references

Vector Magic: A fantastic online auto tracer that will convert rasters into vectors, just upload your image and it'll guide you through the process

20 Graphic Editors Reviewed: A list of 20 (twenty!!!) vector programs. A few you'll have heard of, but others will be a surprise.
