You two are just a pair of grown-up hippies, aren't you! This sounds like so much fun. Come to Madison, WI, I'd love to shoot with you.

Did the same right across Australia some 20 years back, we ended up in a small fishing village called Hometown ( shark-bay) massive bay!

well there was a charter with a film-crew pursuing the Great-White. The still photographer never arrived so I told them I was a photographer. I got a two week job on that charter, seeing scenes I would never, ever have dreamt about.

Thats how my Marine-interest started.

So best of luck with your adventure! most exiting is: you never know where you might end up or whats around the corner? exiting!

best. Christian

this is so exciting! I can't wait to read your adventures! I've bookmarked your blog.

My husband and I have been planning almost exactly this when our boy is out of high school. Except in Europe (we are in US). And it won't end, we don't plan to come back home. We may settle somewhere but I expect we'll travel for at least five years before that.

Good luck and have a blast!

/Thank you again everyone. We're almost done packing Brandon – and we are dead tired! Tomorrow we’ll hit the road. But before, and since Sean started it, anyone else has suggestion for road trip music – we would love to make more discoveries.

"The Final Countdown" by Europe seems apt re. Seans' post but maybe Boss' Born to Run or Steppenwolf's Born to be Wild will see you on your way. Personally I recommend Led Zep's "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" to start the trip - or how about a more up tempo B-52's "Love Shack" for Brandon.

My god you've opened a can of worms now!
