Posted Mon Nov 16, 2009 7:39AM | Nothing to update. Just bouncing this above the sea of locks. |
Posted Mon Nov 16, 2009 8:43AM | (good to have a centralized update-thread, that now covers the whole thing and not only the thunbnails not showing up. I would add "slow sales to the title too though!!!) :P
I guess this is due to some kind of server overload (holiday season to blame).. I hope it gets better soon!! :P |
       Posted Mon Nov 16, 2009 8:56AM | It seems better now. |
Posted Mon Nov 16, 2009 9:00AM | Yep, still slow but the thumbnails are back... |
   Posted Mon Nov 16, 2009 9:08AM |
I've still got a thumbnail missing on an image I UL'd last night. Will it be created, or should I re-upload it?
Speed is still slow, too. If that's improved, it must have been really bad earlier. |

No need to take any action right now. In most similar cases in the past, the files were received fine and the thumbnails could be re-created or re-distributed to the web serves without any user action. Sit back, relax and wait for the DevTeam's response. |
Posted Mon Nov 16, 2009 11:50AM | WAIT? I doubt if any iStocker knows the meaning of that word. This is a truly impatient bunch around here. Gotta love their passion. |

I think they just worry that buyers won't wait if they need images quickly. They'll just go elsewhere. So when the site become unusable like it was this morning, it ends up costing everyone money, thus the impatience with wanting to know when things will be fixed. |
Posted Mon Nov 16, 2009 4:56PM | No need to worry, it cost istock money too, there are plenty of incentive to ensure a smooth running site for everyone. |

I didn't know the site was down, just thought the thumbnails weren't showing. Guess I best better start paying a little closer attention. |

It wasn't totally down, just too slow to do anything with. I couldn't get anything other than the homepage to load. |

I just thought I'd mention that some of my thumbnails (random ones) have just started to go missing from "My Uploads". I am at work using XP and IE 6.0.
ETA: Appears to be working again. Sorry for bringing this back to the front page!
