LOGO: Pets

Hi everyone! I got this logo rejected and the reason i got from it is "lack of impact". But other than "lack of impact", what else is wrong with it? Thanks in advance and will be humble to learn BTW, this logo got a "No resubmit"...

It took me a lot of looking to figure out that you had a rodent, bird, cat and finally dog layered. I don't think it works because it's too complicated to "see" immediately.

Noted thanks. But if the logo need to be recognise at one look what about those abstract logos...

The way you fit them into one another seems forced. The dog, cat, and rat are all looking upward, the bird downward. The cat has a very odd nose and rounded rear head. The dog looks like its wearing a mask or something. Or like you are going to show how smell travels from its nose to its brain. Just my opinion.

I think it is super complicated.


perhaps the shapes would work better as solids with no details? try black dog, white kitty, black bird, white mouse. See how that works?

There's one in the UK i think, done the same way but better, search petsmart or something like that or try brandsoftheworld.

re: complicated - shrink it down to an inch tall and tell me what you think. Can you tell what it is? I'm having a hard time (quickly) deciphering it at this size. Think about this on a sign on a vet clinic. Drive past it. Literally. I am sure it is too complicated. I don't know if my suggestion works though


before you do anymore work though, do look into what clearandtransparent suggests re: looking at trademark. If it's already out there (for sure I have seen something similar with pet shapes on top of each other), it's not worth your time
