Has anyone discovered what "preferred inspection" or whatever it was called, is yet?

Hmmm, little bit worried about this scenario and not really sure if it adds any values apart from a little marketing enticement (fluff) for peeps to sign up.

My logic tells me that there will be heaps of people signing up to the inclusive deal, I perceive these people to be moderate to high uploaders whereby possibly the traffic will out-stretch the non exclusive's queue. With that in mind, having a preferred method to deal with a larger queue (even if its done on a 2 to 1 basis), should and will stall the stock going through of the non exclusives.

Saying that, its all theoretical at the moment and will be keen to monitor the situation when the queues get going. Be interesting to see if Istockphoto make both queues visible to all members.

Lets see what happens.

I have a question. I only upload vecotrs. WIll I still get Preffered Inspection? I do wish the vector people weren't left out of things like this.

Image Zoom would be awesome on vectors with a lot of detail and at the moment I can't even post 100% closeups until they fix the UBB code in image descriptions.

And while I'm at it...I had a really great idea for the vices contest and worked on it for hours thinking in the past they accepted vecotrs to contests but we're not welcome this time. Okay sorry, now I've gone way off topic.

Amanda why don't you simply dump your competition vector to a bitmap?

I would but it's an issue of actual photo versus drawing and they asked for a model release. Oh well I'm happy for the inspiration to add to my portfolio. Sorry just ranting a little. I try not to do it too often.

Well I'm off to picket now...
"EQUAL RIGHTS FOR VECTOR ARTISTS!!!" lol

Photograph yourself, or someone else, indulging in a vice. This is a portrait contest, so bust out a model release http://www.istockphoto.com/docs/modelrelease.pdf and upload those files because they have to be accepted as regular uploads before they'll qualify for the contest.

the preferred inspection would probably be easier and faster, due to the fact that only people who have (hopefully) learned what's good and bad can upload into that queue. i can't say i'd mind but it is likely that it will grow to similar sizes as the regular queue.
