I delved deeper into the site and looked at the caricatures, as well, and was fascinated by the way I could relate to the images, without knowing a word of Farsi. Just shows how much we humans have in common with each other, despite geographical distances between us. Perhaps if we all communicated via images instead of words, some of our political distances might be lessened as well!

It's interesting, because when one mentions "Iran", or any middle-eastern countries, you just have certain pictures coming into mind. Bloodshed, conflict, sorrow...

But on closer inspection, the work many of these photographers presented were no different from what those from other cultures would have done.

Reminds me of the old adage, that art is the universal language, and photography is just a vivid, visual form of art.
