It's just a matter of not wanting to cheapen any future value I might want to cash in on later.
from people who frequent a site where users are characterized by their camera brand and model. *giggle*

NOOO! You mean I'm being exploited and taken advantage of? Oh WHY? Why am I such a whore?!? Why would I let my art be compromised like this by Big Boy Canadian Capitalists who just want to screw me for every penny they can?!?! Oh the pain! Oh the woe! How could I let myself be used to destroy the stock photo industry in this way!!
(promptly jumps off tall building... and lands on a cart full of scampi)

Oh, I am biting my tongue to keep from replying to that question....rhetorical, though it may be!

It sounds from reading the first few pages of posts, that there are some people fighting our battle over there.
I've heard the same arguement used in the design industry where Microsoft programs and cheap computers have ruined the industry and now "anyone" can be a designer.
Unfortunately for people who don't like change, it will come anyway and either you adapt or get pushed to the way-side. And they forget that there's a market for both expensive photos and inexpensive photos, and talent will come out in both arenas.

Then there was this reasoning in the aforementioned thread, someone says something like ...
"If you sell your photos for $3 as RF, that is just plain greed.
However, if you plan to sell them for big bucks like $100 or more a pop, then that is just good business."
Does that mean that if iStocks sells my image 50 times for $3 that I am greedy? And if "another agency sells it once for $150, then I am a good business person?
I think I have to go - another attack of the giggles...

This was the best quote of them all
"If the "real" stock photo industry can't compete with the amatures(sic) and the istocks out there, they either need to get better or become extinct. Adapt or die, don't expect the industry to stay the same."
