Last year, when I first started uploading, I uploaded this one: http://www.istockphoto.com/file_closeup.php?id=208417 thinking it to be an unusual photo.
Many months on I'm looking at it and trying to decide if it's actually any use to anyone at all, or should I deactivate it?
What do you guys think? Personaly I don't see what use it could be.

IMVHO deactivate it - it does nothing for me as a photographer and I cannot personally think of any design use for it (although I am not a full time designer).
BTW, your transporter image is very good indeed.

yeah, ditch it. if its been up that long you know its not really going to be used. interesting though it may be. i've long since killed all my first uploads.

While we're at it, I've been thinking the same thing about this one:
I thought it might be useful to convey the concept of a balanced breakfast, but so far no designers agree with me. So, I've thought about deactivating it. Any thoughts?

I agree about deactivating the first image, but it's only been 3 1/2 months that the breakfast one has been up. I would leave it up.

Image is now deactivated.
This is great, I'm now starting to look at photos for their value as stock rather than just finding things to upload.
