![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Fri Jan 14, 2005 1:35AM | Hi, just uploaded this picture which I consider to be one of my better shots regarding lightning/composition/expression. As far as I can see it should be quite usable as stock too... right? But... it received an initial rating of 2...? Comments? Thanx kingvald |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Fri Jan 14, 2005 11:24AM | Ken, she's wearing a jacket because she's cold! *giggles* Now, don't get all serious on me and try to say that it would be better stock if she wasn't Besides what zero said, and this is going to sound extremely picky, I realize that... try to make sure your model's nails are clean. (Her eyes and hands are the focus of this shot. ) Yes, hard to guarantee in a child this age, less important than the capture also, but stock is as clean as you can get it. The camera will catch more than the naked eye looking through the viewfinder and when you open up that image at 100% on your computer, you'll always see stuff that will make you moan. I have also learned the hard way from this. Hours in Photoshop to fix it if I could without destroying the level of detail. I'm saying this more for the "next time" you shoot. Pay attention to some of the small details. You won't see some of that in the "competitors" who have been in the stock biz for many years. If you can control it, do. You won't be present when the downloader opens up that image on their computer. That is revealing. If you think you would be embarassed when they wince, then make sure your efforts are the best you can give it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Fri Jan 14, 2005 11:32AM | This photo of mine had an initail rating of 2, also. Very quickly it got up to 3 downloads, of course christmas is over... but I never really saw it as a 2 either. I really think it has to do with the approver's idea of how it would fit. No one is perfect, and some have higher standards of what is a 2 and what isnt. -Jyn Hi, just uploaded this picture which I consider to be one of my better shots regarding lightning/composition/expression.
