Ok, turns out that Greg's right...the closest Canon place to us is in Gwinnett County, which, sadly...is nowhere near me. So...

I ordered the Copper Hill set and will see if it does the trick. If it doesn't, then I guess it's time for a mini-road trip. Greg, have you been out there before? Know where it is? Man, I SO do not know that area...lol..can you all tell that I have no desire to venture out there? :-P

kreative, all I can tell you is that it's off of I-85 North, "somewhere" around or just north (I think) of the Gwinnett Mall area. Yep... one of the BUSIEST traffic areas in all of metro Atlanta. I try to completely avoid that area anymore - the last time I had to go up that way it took over 2 hours! CUSSING

Another thing to watch them if you have to... back when I used them I had a Canon word processor to be repaired. I drove that sucker all the way out there and you know what they did? They SHIPPED it to a Canon repair facility in Texas! Hell, *I* could have done that! Took a month to get it back and I was paranoid as heck with the fragile thing being shipped back and forth and back and forth. ARGH.

Call them ahead of time and ask them the exact procedure before you make the trek.

Greg, thanks for the heads-up...I will do that. My Dad just reminded me that he thinks it is the same place we went over a decade ago to take a little Canon Bubblejet printer to be repaired. Turns out, some lovely little worker-bee had dropped a SCREW down in it...that's why it kept making grinding noises, etc...lol...anyway, they just gave us a new printer because apparently the little screw had done a lot of damage.

That place is WAAAAAAAY out there. YIKES! I hope the Copperhill system works as well as everyone says...if it does then maybe I won't have to trek out there. If it doesn't...then well...I guess I will be taking a day off from work to deal with it. (grrrrrr)
