I try to list in all 3 gategories but frequently have trouble finding 3 that fit the photo. I try to use relevant categories.

So, just how important are the categoies? Wouldn't people use the keyword search rather than browsing through the category itself?

I think keywording is more important to locating an image than selecting three categories, but categories are worthwhile.

An artist invests some time into producing an image. Definitely some investment in equipment. In order for the investment to provide the best return on your investment, you need to sell the image.

Time to select three categories and properly keyword an images is an investment that means money to you. It is your compensation for work done.

The wrong or missing keywords, a missing category or two, and maybe you loose the chance to show 1, 2, 150, 1000 customers your image. Your beautiful image with all your work remains hidden in the shadows of the library.

Each keyword and each category increase the chance that your image is the one found and purchased.
