I don't understand how an image uploaded is still pending, when the id numbers being reviewed now are a lot higher - if you follow my drift
ie, latest email I have had is on an image numbered in the 45000's, the still pending image is in the 44,000's
Am I missing something here please?

They are not inspected exactly in numerical order. You'll go crazy watching the numbers (I know, because I do the same thing. )
There are also three queues, the normal one, the vector one, and the executive one. If you are in the 440,000s it is very possible that your image is in the exec queue. I think you should contact support just to be sure.

I've been getting a new email if an image of mine gets bumped into the exec queue. I think its a new feature designed to calm people down.
As shmackle says, watching the numbers will drive you crazy (but we've all done it ).
The best thing to do is to try to forget you've uploaded them, then sit back and wait for the email.
Good luck, and welcome!

when a file is put in the exec Q, it's because it needs to be verified on further.
all images will get processed and approved or rejected...
