My friend would like me to shoot pictures of a few of her artworks and upload them to iStock. What is the procedure for this? Can I use a model release from or do I need to make up a form specifically for art? (art release form)

You will need written permission from the artist to redistribute her work. I would recommend you get a contract to handle this, and that it include all compensation and such up front. Your friendship depends on it.

You can't redistribute her artwork unless she sells you the copyright to the work to you. Something I'd not advise any artist to ever do (no offense meant to you). To do this you would need a written legal document for each image. This would need to be uploaded with each image.

Why doesn't she just make an account and upload her own work ?

Does anybody know of an online source where this contract can be found? A legal contract that shoes that the artist has given me copyright of their image and the right to reproduce it.
