Many of you have been getting a "disc is full" error message. We have discovered the source of the problem, but it is going to take a couple of days to resolve (the fix is scheduled to be completed by Thursday afternoon). We don't want you to loose your upload limits for the week, so we will give you a chance to catch up next week. If you wish to gain those upload slots back, you will need to sitemail me so that I can add you to the list.

Although the FTP server is a problem right now, it is still running, and needs to run in order to keep us pulling files off. There are a couple of things you could do to help it make it through the next couple of days:

1. If you have files that were skipped as errors, please fix them so that they get cleared off.

2. Hold off uploading new files (other than those you are deleting and replacing) until the server has been fixed.

I'm assuming that with all the stuff going on with the server that our "xxx_done" folders wont be cleared in the normal amount of time? (I had them up there but didn't have them in done folders and I just put them all in that format.)

Never mind...I fished around on other posts...no need to answer this.  It will get fixed when it gets fixed--no biggie!

I have folders with _done on them that are not getting run through.  Also, has the 'full ftp' issue been fixed?

Word is that the problem with files not being taken off the FTP server has been fixed. You should begin to see the done folders cleared off starting immediately.

Hi JIm,

every file got this( an hour after your post)

Attempting to move whtshksunbld_done directory contents to file storage system...
There has been a problem copying the files. Directory will be left, and upload will be attempted again later.

hopefully theyll get checked again but, something seems wrong still

Sorry, even though folks have been working on this all day, it now appears that the problem will be with us until Monday. What this means is that files will not be cleared off the FTP server, and will not go to processing. However, last week's problem with the "out of disc space" is solved, so you can still upload your files to the server. Once the script is running again, they will be processed.

15 of my 20 processed. 5 errored-out and the message said it'd try later. The error was:

Attempting to move 04_done directory contents to file storage system...
There has been a problem copying the files. Directory will be left, and upload will be attempted again later.

So, I guess the error wasn't with me, but with the server.

/mine just got "validated" and it gave me this on 6 of them...

Skipping over directory stormyocean_done because no valid video file was included. DONE text has been replaced with ERROR in the directory name.

Even though there WAS a valid video file in there. If the video file wasn't right (as far as settings) will it say something else? I haven't changed my workflow at all.
Has anything changed as far as settings on the files that we have to upload?

Oh duh!  Okay so just chime in please if I have this right... I have put the files in the folders but I didn't name the actual video file stormyocean_hd.mov  -- it was named stormyocean.mov.  This is why it got passed eh??  I was confused about this and thought I only had to add the _hd on the file if I was uploading multiple formats...

Could this be it??  Sorry if this has been covered...

Is this problem ever going to get resolved? I still have a folder sitting there getting errors, but the log says all the files pass.

File phd004YYCboredkidsstepleft_NTSC.mov

It is catching the "hd" earlier on in the filename - and expecting a hd file - a bit crazy I know!
