Also, my PC is 64-bit Vista, and this flash version apparently doesn't work with 64-bit IE8. So I thought maybe that might be contributing to the problem. But I checked that too, and I have using IE8 32-bit version all along. Anyway, maybe the latest flash version will help? I'll see what happens.

Will probably jinx it of course. But so far so good for the last 45 minutes or so. Fingers crossed.
