Totally different styles of play yet I find you oddly equally matched. Compositionally SWP's R1:1 is the strongest, the two mammoths pull the eye into the piece, however the background elements aren't as seamlessly integrated as the mammoths.
amax, nice blows, nice color schemes, they're more scenes that seem quite passive and don't draw the eye in. I wouldn't have like to see a variation in styles to see what your capable of in a different style, however should you progress I'm sure we'll get to see that. Kudos to both.

Two very distinct styles. You both even kept your individual (but same) color pallets for each blow. R1:1 has a good dynamic composition but felt unfinished. Would have like to see more refined details. R1:2 has a magical feel. Would have been better undisturbed by the "logo" and the cutoff bars. R2:2 some nice details but really similar to your first round. Would have like to see this venture out into a whole new world. The hunter somehow got left out and thrown in last minute it seems. He's not working with your color pallet at all and looks very odd.

Welcome to the Battle Royale.

Interesting colour schemes in this match-up, yet I find every design lacking in contrast. You might be asking, "What? They all have very strong contrast!", but what I mean is that they are all lacking the contrast of focal points. As a viewer, I have no idea what to look at first in each design. I find myself hunting around the images. R1:1 and R2:2 are working the best, and as a result, they are my favourites of the four. R2:2 does a better job of using colour to set a focal point, which is why I scored it higher. The bright light and hunter stand out, and I really like the texture of each design by amaxdesign. Even though every design is pretty much the same idea (theme), I still think you both did a great job in Photoshop. Well executed isolation and integration of elements. You both may have pushed each design into a bit of an adjustment mash-up, but I like them.
