Thank you all for your kind words, they mean a lot to everybody involved in "cage fights".
And thanks for your ratings as well (it was 37x5.00s before today, I haven't seen such a score in the cage btw and my love goes to the 38the guy/gal rated 1, the lowscorer strikes again)

This is a great finish Rosen and you deserve to be in the final mate. The random 1 rater strikes again!

actually I did the math (because I'm a nerd)
There were 42 votes of a 5 and 1 vote of a 4 (at time of posting 4.98)
still think this could have been left at a perfect 5.0 though

This was an amazing battle, so much movement so much action it really was a feast for the eyes.
On a whole rosen's execution and athetics I feel outclassed his oposition and really pushed himself to secure a position in the final.
R1V1 I loved the simplicity but at this stage in the competition you really need to pull out all stops and go the extra mile to secure the win.
Technically and aesthetically it was great, but it really lacked substance.
R1V2 WOW... I mean WOW theres really no other words... thats it
R2V1 really nice concept accept the guys face really jumped out of the picture and i felt it was one of the weeker elements. The girl looks awesome and I feel with out the guy it would have been a much stronger composition.
R2V2 To finish it off and I really feel seal the deal a super final blow with al you could ever want in a steel cage design.
All up I really hate to think someone walks away from this battle as both of your work is amazing.
9 - 9 = 18
9 - 10 = 19
R1V1: Attitude kewl. Great smoke effect, great composition, ribbon flow holds the piece together nicely nice use of DOF effect. Pretty seamless PS work, I felt the motion blur line were uneccessary, but that's minor.
R1V2: Great action piece. Nice tones, there's a bit of incongruous sharpness/softness. While there's a lot happening here, which is fine, it just all seems to be at the forefront of the blow, creating a very front heavy composition. There's also a bit of 'bleeding' of elements into each other, I can see the plane though the girls arm, and the window frame super blurred on the edges in places and sharp in other places.
R2V1: Another super cool blow, with pretty much faultless photoshopping, but like the preceding blow, it's all very busy, with all the action 'in yer face' which isn't a bad thing, but just makes it lack a little depth. Grey buildings in the top right are a little strange in angle/perspective. Super cool tough chick, and almost comical army dude sort of don't gel conceptually for me, but it's still great angle continuation of the theme.
R2V2: Now, this is what I'm talking about. This is how you do over the top action and make it work to it's full potential. While this scene is just as busy (if not more) than the others, it is multi-layered and has great depth, your eye can travel into the scene and find new things the further it goes, rather than just across the scene. Great sense of depth, brilliant use of previous element, coloring, tone, seamless PS work, and dinosaurs! kickass!
9 - 8 = 17
9 - 10 = 19
1:1 is excellent. You've used a relatively simple design layout to make something that's really visually strong and also filled it up with plenty of cool details and some strong attention to the technical side. The ribbons really tie the whole thing together, its got great depth. The handmade cyberpunk elements all work really well without being visually overwhelming. All in all this is super clean, effective, and cool.
The two middle blows, 1:2 and 2:1, are both cool. Each has a lot of stuff going on, plenty of visual interest, plenty of action. I feel like 1:2 is more convincing as far as realism goes. I like a lot about 2:1 as well - I like the dynamic angle and the action, and I like a lot of the detailed touches in the things you've built, like the links in the chain. But I don't feel as convinced about what I'm seeing - the fire and the relationship in space between the two characters -- as I do with the parachute and the reflection before it.
2:2 Rosen I think you've hit the perfect balance here with this one. There's so much going on but its all organized and composed wonderfully - rather than being overwhelmed with detail you get led in and you get this cool experience of moving through the depth in the scene. Everything is perfect - the action is alive and the movement is convincing, the construction is all spot on … there isn't much to say here except wow.

A big congrats Rosen!
You went for it, outclassed me and deserve the win all the way.
I found the hardest part of this BR having to start every single battle but that pushed me to a new level.
I hope we can do it again when you regained strenght after this br and I wish you the very best in the final round!
The best of luck to you,
Kurt / Nlxx
