Yes, the website is such a great resource. I've even downloaded it so I can continue to pour over it on the long flight. Only a few more errands to run today, then we leave tomorrow. Can't wait to see Sabir picking us up, meet our guide in Agra, and of course Pradeep, and the rest of us istockers!

Well...no luck in finding the adapter which you posted Pradeep...can't believe there are none to be found here. I will be checking at the airports when I go through to see if any have that particular type. This is the type of plugs we have here in the States. The first image is what most will need. If you can stock up that would be great, just let me know what the costs are. Thank you so much!

Terry I suppose the best will be that you all carry a good quality extension cable that accepts all/most of your charging cables, and, in case an adapter is NOT available for the wire end of your extension cable, we simply chop off the plug at the end of the extension cable and insert the wires directly into the wall outlet(s). Simple.

Praedeep, that method of incerting the wires directly in the wall outlet is what I have often used in travels around the world taught by my husband), sometimes you have to add a pencil to put into the third hole of the outlett. However I thougt this was absolutely no,no so I did not dare to suggest it.

Yup ! I suppose it is only practical to do so. The one precaution that we may take is NOT to leave our room(s) unattended whenever such 'loose connections' are in operation ... lest there be a sudden spark etc.

I bought a couple adapters, and if I can find a spare surge protector here that would eliminate our need for more than one or two of the adapters, could loan a couple, we will surely figure it out in India.

Pradeep...is there a travel store/hardware store that would carry these that would be close to the airport? I have checked stores that are located in the airport terminals that I will be traveling through and none of them have an adapter for this type of plug-in. Plugging wires into sockets isn't the safest thing to do and will feel a whole lot better finding an adapter. Sorry to be a pain about this.

No problems Terry ! Leave the pains for me. No pain actually. I will surely get some adapters - the right ones. Cheers, Pradeep.

This may  be stupid questions but you write that we should sign in at the Indialypse desk and also at this time provide you with a telephone number and make a test call.

Question 1: I seem to be the only one arriving to 1589 City Mark hotel on Nov 11th (having missed the deadline by 10 minutes as I arrive 12,10). I imagine the Indialypse desk will oot open untl the 12th sp that I just check in in the regular way.

Question 2: I usually don't carry a mobile telephone as I am rather hard of hearing and find it difficult to hear both the ringsignal (I know you can have a vibrator instead) and the voice. However this time I will bring one. However as I understand it in order to use the telephone in India at a reasonable cost I should get an Indian sim-card. This may not be so quickly arranged immeadiately on arrival making it difficult to make the test call. After all once we have checked into the hotel you do have us "under control" and I don't really see the need of a test call.

Answer : INDIALYPSE2010 counter will open at CityMark Hotel only when INDIALYPSE2010 begins, that is, at 12.00 NOON on 12th of November, 2010. Those who're arriving at or after 12.00 NOON in Delhi will be picked up Hotel City Mark staff, and they will stay for this non-lypse day at their own expense. The scheduled hotel arrangements (room allotment & pairing) will begin only at the INDIALYPSE2010 check-in counter. Some of the members are arriving very late on the 11th, or in the wee hours of 12th. They will all check-in routinely at Hotel CityMark after their pick-ups and arrival.

Question 2: I usually don't carry a mobile telephone as I am rather hard of hearing and find it difficult to hear both the ringsignal (I know you can have a vibrator instead) and the voice. Answer : mobile phones are mostly required to facilitate your pick-ups, and also to track you if you tend to stray out-of-range-of-sight from your alloted photographic group (there will be five groups of six members each). We shall be procuring 5 Indian SIM cards, one each for each of the five group coordinators - so that they may remain in touch with me, my staff, and with the incharges of other groups. Anyways, not everyone is arriving with a cell phone. They may have their own reasons, and all valid, like your own.

Cheers, and best regards, Pradeep.

Apparently 30C (which would equate to lots of F degrees if you are American)     For sure different then here in Toronto (around 0C).

According to our Web site temperatures in Pushcar can go down to 18°C (=65°F). My experience is also that some of the airconditioned spaces and especially airconditioned transport can be icy cold compared to the surroundings but I do hope and expect that we can keep a decent temperature in our own bus. These abrupt changes from almost refrigerator temerature inside and sauna outside tend to give you a common cold. But maybe sauna is not correct, I understand the climate will be quite dry.

Hi folks ! Please note the following :

1. Please follow Yahoo Weather (next 10 days).
http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/businesstraveler/extended/INXX0038
If weather does seem bad on any day, it isn't usually bad for the whole day.
Reasonable daylight period is from about 08.00 AM till about 04.30 PM.
In the month of November, the sun is usually never too harsh during the day, and one can keep shooting almost all through the day.
To conserve daylight shooting hours outdoors, we are planning shooting in hotels (indoors) only in the evening hours.

2. Delhi is very pleasant in mid-November. Just a bit of chill in the mornings & late evening - a thick, coarse shirt will do, without requring any warm clothings right now.

3. Yes, the bus and the car will be air-conditioned, but in the bus there are controls available overhead to adjust the flow of cold air as per individual requirement. Yes, Brittak is right in saying that the climate will be quite dry - almost all through our chosen locations - Jaipur, Pushkar, Agra, and finally Delhi.

4. Please keep your queries/concerns confined to THIS FORUM only at this late juncture. Better avoid emails and our own ONLINE FORUM altogether.

Cheers, Pradeep
