Dec stats

December was not good. Good thing I uploaded some winter images, otherwise the month would have been  disastrous

Worse month in OVER a year.  No crown since October 10. More downloads elsewhere with much fewer files, though, so it's encouraging.

a few dollars more and a few DLs less than my previous BME.

Absolutely appalling - can't think of any other printable way to describe it. Happy New Year, everyone 

DLs down a little over 20% from 2009. I can't compare $ as I wasn't exclusive a year ago. DL-wise, it was the 3rd-worst month of the year. $-wise, it was just a few % down from Nov, but continues a worrying trend (Sep > Oct > Nov > Dec).

Great end to the year on IS! BME in $ and it's was about 25% more then last year, traditionally my stock moves well in Decemeber (I guess the overweight, the lazy, and the drunks sell well of new years) and I front load this year with lots of new images that did well. Year to Year less downloads, about 12% less, more money in keeping with the month about a 25%. Good Good stuff looking to up load more real soon. Thnaks IS Happy New Year!

Very good year and reasonably good December month without Vetta sales nor EL's. I'm satisfied with these results

Lowest month of 2010 by nearly 25% for both DL and $, biggest drop I have seen. ????  DL numbers just over half of Dec 2009

$ down about 10% from November DLs almost identical (-1) from November which was a good month,  Very slow last week in December.

Absolute numbers are tiny and statistically inconsequential in my case. But from a "marketing statistics" point of view December tied my highest DL total ever and was easily my highest $$ month. Been uploading consistently so currently have 232 files in inventory compared to 38 in January 2010. Most of those accepted since July.


Throw all that in the pot, stir it up and one gets a brand new bronze canister as of this morning. More importantly - a no-brainer in my situation - one anticipates a newly exclusive higher commission rate hopefully starting sometime next week. Overall, December was pretty good to me.

December ended up weak - but given how effed up search was, I suppose it was pretty good. Typically November is my highest month of the year, with December #2 and October #3. Not this year. December was #7 for $$


However, the year as a whole was a barn burner - income up 72% and dowloads up 6.5% And that wasn't sustainable for iStock, so they need more.


If I were a more charitable person, I'd thank iStock for this great year, but given that I see their hand heading for my pocket, wallet, and anything else on my person that looks glittery, I can't bring myself to do that. Sorry.

Average DLs and $ , right in the middle as far as this year goes.

After I became exclusive, downloads/uploads ratio is down by 20%. So in 5 days I am not exclusive anymore. I believe IS is only interrested in Vetta and Agency for the future. I am out of this. Good for Vetta/Agency people - bad for the rest 95% of us.

The first eight months of the year were looking stellar. Everything tanked big time since then. The result was a poor December, DLs were just 60% of Dec 2009.

4th BM in 2010 for DL

Lowest number of DLs since the 9th month of my first year at iStock. At that time I had hundreds less uploads and just beginning to learn about shooting for stock.


Also lowest this year for $s and DLs. Just part of a steady decline since mid-year.

Not very good month.

Last time I had this few downloads I just turned Silver from Bronze, back in Feb '07.

what fraud are you talking about, did I miss something?

How do we know if the Dec fraud affected us???  Do we see it by looking at individual DL prices over all of December?  That could take a while.  were people who were victimized notified?  Is this real for certain or possibly just rumor?
