I recently got a new ips panel monitor, & after proper calibration realized with horror just how dingy the colours are in my stock images (done on an old tn panel screen).

If I want to tweak my stock images, will I have to deactivate & upload for approval again (thus losing their views/downloads stats)?

If you are making any substantial changes then they would have to be reinspected - and so yes you would lose BM placement, DL history and whichever lightboxes that buyers may have added them to.

I just recently noticed something similar. For years I've been uploading images edited and saved with Adobe RGB (1998) color profile, which always seemed to render thumbnails on the iStock site that matched what I saw in Photoshop.  I just barely finished uploading a photo and noticed the thumbnail looking "dingy". Has something changed with the thumbnail generator recently? I may have uploaded a dozen or so photos without noticing. The photo in question has a lot of intense red, which made it easy to notice.

For what it's worth, here is a screen capture that shows the comparison between web site thumbnail and my photoshop screen..

Is this a simple issue of needing to edit and save files in sRGB? I'd like to figure this out before uploading any more photos!

recent uploads have suffered a bug when processing the thumbnail.

Should be fixed very soon though according to the posts here:

Some of the affected images also have their EXIF in tact.

Never mind.. did more digging and it appears to be a browser thing. I'm using the new Firefox, so I checked the web site thumbnails with IE, and what do you know.. things looked normal.

ETA: Thanks Kelvin!
