Vetta has been a huge success for iStock photographers. Now we're getting ready to expand the collection to include Vector and Video artists.
Opting-in
Exclusive Illustrators and Video artists will now have the Vetta opt-in checkbox. Go to Preferences > My Uploads tab > "Manage my collections". Check the Vetta box to opt yourself in. If you're also an Exclusive photographer and are already opted-in for Vetta, you don't have to do anything – you're opted-in.
The opt-in works exactly the same as it does for photo: checking it tells our editors that they can pick files for the collection from your portfolio.
We will spend the next little while choosing files from the opted-in portfolio for the initial launch of these two new collections. So opt-in now and stay tuned for more news.
Nominating your own files
Right now, we're in the first stage, where our editors go through the opted-in portfolios looking for Vetta candidates. When we launch the collection, Vector and Video contributors will be given a number of self-nomination slots to nominate files already in your portfolios for the collection.
Prices and Royalties
Vetta royalties for Vector and Video artists will be the same as they are for photographs - with a bonus. For the duration of 2011 we will offer a 5% bonus royalty to both Vector and Video artists on all Vetta downloads here at iStock.
Here are the prices for these new Vetta files:
Illustrations:
Detailed: 40 credits
Complex: 50
Elaborate: 60
Video:
Big Web: 55
NTSC: 90
HD 720: 120
HD 1080: 150
We plan to go live with Vector and Video Vetta some time this spring.
