Hi, this just got rejected for looking too much like a rubik's cube:

Just wondering if anyone thinks it's worth resubmitting the image with some changes, a material change perhaps like changing the black parts so they look like wooden blocks? Or does the rubik's trademark cover any 3x3x3 puzzle cube with painted faces?

I'd say it's pretty likely that if it's this reminiscent of Rubik's Cube, even made of "wood," it's going be rejected. They're one of those companies that aggressively protects its trademarks so we're extra cautious.

I think that you have been stung here.  The resemblance to a rubik's cube is passing at best.  I'd Scout it.

As Donald mentioned, if it can be interpreted as a Rubik's Cube then it is going away.  This one definitely has that look.  Take note of what Donald says about the company's aggressiveness in protecting it trademarks and our corresponding cautiousness.  This has been a policy for a long time - I had a similar image deactivated many years ago and it didn't even have the 'stickers' or different coloured faces.  It's just the way it is when it comes to highly protected brands.  I don't recommend using a Scout ticket on this.
