I am planning to use it, but I am worried to enter my account details in your software. I was reading your "privacy policy" and I didn´t understand very well what kind of information are you collecting.

There is a thread on MSG which has answers to your question and more. Basically, it is all stored locally on your PC, he is not collecting any data.

Great!!!, I am using it at the moment. I hope new features in the future. Thanks to the developer.

Also the price is ok, we need to support independent developers.

Adam, thanks for answering question. Yes, all data is stored only on local hard drive.

Issue with not being able to add images to fileset has been fixed. And now program displays images much faster. Even on portfolio of 40000 files and more.

Luis, thanks for great words and your feedback. There is new version available with image filtering by month and Search function. This makes work with large portfolio much easier and faster (especially creating sets).

Adam, thanks for answering question. Yes, all data is stored only on local hard drive.

In your FAQ section I read:

How secure is my data?

This is desktop software and all the data is stored on local hard drive. All your passwords are encrypted and stored on your computer only. Following general computer security guidelines will guarantee security of your data.

Here is some general security guidelines:

1. This software is not developed by iStock

2. This is not a GM script like the ones we created for free for the community

3. This is not open source software = only you know what exactly the program does with the financial data.

4. You are trying to make money from it by posting your prices in the forum.

5. You are not even exclusive.

6. The fact that you are storing the passwords encrypted locally, doesn't mean you are not transferring the gathered data through TCP/IP to yourself, competitors or whoever.

Also not sure what iStock's position on all that is...

ETA:

I just saw the TOS and disclaimers on your web site. This adds even more questions as you claim to be responsible for almost nothing, even about the info on your site being correct. ("Information on this Web site is not promised or guaranteed to be correct, current, or complete...")

Wow! Did AndreyPopov kick your dog once?

If you don't want to pay for his software, don't download it. Easy!

Argh... I was talking about obvious confusions on the security guidelines mentioned, not about the personality of the developer or what I would pay for. Sorry if this offends you.

/You right that program could possibly in theory be transferring private data. But it is not true, because:

1. All communication to www.microstockanalytics.com is done using HTTP protocol and is not encrypted (there is no necessity because there is no private data). You can use sniffers to monitor traffic and see it yourself.

2. It took me a lot of time and effort to develop this software and would not make any sense to do anything like you said. Today in age of internet even one occurence of such action will comletely damage reputation of software.

3. The clause from TOS you mentioned is a standard legal clause that most companies and websites use. Check TOS of any big company, Microsoft or IBM for instance.

Hi Andrey, your software looks great! congratulations!  Currently I'm using lookstat.com, I really don't like web-based solutions, they are really slow to update/show the data and quite expensive.  If you had a Mac version I would buy it in a second, actually I'm exploring the option of using Parallels just to test your software smile   I know there's more windows users in general, but you should take notice that in the graphic arts industry there's at least 50% mac users, if not more...

Cheers!

/Hi Aldo, thanks for great words. I'm definately considering to do Mac version in future.

How did Parallels worked? I see you already using the software. Btw, thanks for upgrading. If you have any questions about software or about certain functions I will be happy to answer.

Today released new version of Microstock Analytics. There is new feature that allows you to compare several filesets on one graph. Simply select few filesets using ctrl key and see graph below. Hope you enjoy this feature.

New features in previous build:
1. Search by negative keyword. Use "not" before keyword to exclude files from search. For example "business not isolated" will search for all files containing business keyword but not isolated.
2. Filter to display only unassigned files during fileset creation/modification.
3. Yearly view mode (for the bottom graph).
