Found this ad in my local newspaper.  The only thing modified is that I blacked out the phone number.

I live in a bush town of about 6.000. The only way in or out is by plane and we are considered a "damp" town since alcohol possession is legal but you cannot sell it here, you have to import it..

Reminds me of back home in WV... people would catch someone in their house stealing - funny, the police never caught the guys, but each of the homes had odd looking mounds in the back with flowers growing out of them.

A friend's house got broken into and totally trashed. (literally totalled with vandalism).
The idiots were guys across the street who had watched them pack their car for vacation.
They wrote checks out of my friend's checkbook that they had made out to themselves!

Here in the UK we're not even allowed to speak sharply toburglars. If you do then you will probably get sued for giving them"pschological trauma" or some other  b******t recognised mental condition!

Seriouslythough we are legally allowed to use "reasonable force" to removeanyone we find in our houses. Mind you if you should happen to doso, then whether you used "reasonable force" is decided later, in thecoldlight of day, by a court.

We have that in the States too...true story that a burgler got hurt in a house that he was robbing and sued the owners of the house for his injuries, and WON! Insane.

Heh, which town are you in? Gotta wonder what was stolen that was worth more than 20 cases of beer.

I think I'll stay in Fairbanks, thanks.

Bethel.

Especially considering the freight... Alcohol is almost worth it's weight in gold.

I just have to say, it's not fair you're having better weather than we are right now

I wonder what kind of beer is being offered. That might make or breakthe deal. Probably makes no difference in your town I would guess.

you're right, wouldn't make any difference.  The grocery stores here stock the mouthwash and cooking extracts at the checkout behind the cashier for a reason.
