Actually PP downloads are not counted in the Redeemed Credits total.

I always thought that giving the opportunity to earn some RC with the PP would:
-encouraged people to put their pictures in the PP
-persuaded to increase its quota of pictures dedicated to the PP
-improved the RC situation of users who subscribe to the PP

Obbviously it should be a lower value than the RC derived from the normal IS downloads.... for example, 4 PP = 1 normal download if related to RC .... or other...

I was curious to know what do you think about...

I really hope they do include PP downloads in the overall RC tally (not sure how though) as 34% of my last months (April) downloads were PP, and I am assuming that May will be even higher. April was also my lowest iStock download month of the year so far.

Even if PP downloads were rated as a 'small' (5) credit download for RC, I would have had an additional 220 RC for that month. Every bit helps!

...so I'm not alone, thanks for your opinion !

The same could be valid for our Canisters badges / downloads number too:

Since the canisters do not have more influence on the percentage of the gains, they have become 'medals' or 'honors' in which any contributor (...and I hope I speak for many) has an emotional attachment and pride. Why not give the possibility to increase the total number of downloads/canisters with the PP ?

Obviously, in this case too, it should be 'weighted': ...4 PP downloads = 1 IS normal download... or other ... ...

I fully agree that PP downloads should count toward RC's. Istock wants us opted in, and those of us that are selling our photo's almost free should be compensated with RC's as an incentive to stay with the program. A Getty company sale should be a RC sale no matter what Getty site it comes from.

Thanks for your opinion. I'm glad I understood a sentiment that also belongs to Exclusives!

Sorry but I can't see this happening. I'd like to see it happen, but all that it would do is upset the carefully set balance of the RC targets as they are. They would have to be re-calculated upwards to give the company the same profit that they have with the present numbers. There is really no incentive for them to do that. Although you'd have some winners and some losers the net gain to us as contributors would be nothing.
