I've sort of asked this before, but it's not really crystal clear in my head yet.

When I go for exclusivity, I'm going to need to remove a load of my files from the partner program that are currently opted in, and newer than 18 months old. I really don't want them disapearing off Istock.
But, as a test a while back, I deactivated a picture in the partner program, and it still appears on thinkstock.
Now this doesn't bother me as long as I don't get penalised for it.

So what I'm really asking is.. when I apply for exclusivity, will my files that I have unticked from the partner program stay on istock, even though they may still be on the partner program sites earning revenue?

Cheers,
Glyn.

I'd check support on that.  If that is the only place you have them, which is ours, then I would not think they would stop being exclusive, since you are not able to remove them right now, and who knows when?

PP option exists for exclusives also doesn't it? So I wouldnt think you would need to remove them from PP.

I may be wrong though and its best you do as jtyler suggested and check with support!

I did read the link which is what prompted my question. When I un ticked a file from the partner program, it still appears on the partner sites months later.
Would I need to untick them then contact support to remove them, or is it ok to just untick them and wait for the pp to catch up, maybe months later during which time they generate revenue in both locations even though I've unticked them?

Be nice if the slow update speed benefits me when I get exclusive. Sort of compensate me for the delay getting stuff over to the pp in the first place.
But I'd like someone to confirm this before I find all my images disappear because they still appear on the pp despite me unticking them.

^I'd say...contact support to get the images that are not 18 months old to be erased from PP .To be sure, send also the files numbers (I have only 22 images left to get to 250 slaes and try to become exclusive, and that's the way I will follow to get my PP images off).

If you opt your files out on iStock before you become exclusive, it won't matter whether they are up on the partner sites or not. All that matters is that their opt-in status is 'opted-out' on iStock, and no file deactivations will take place. You won't be penalized because the connector hasn't removed them from the partner sites.

The file deactivation/reactivation feature of the connector isn't working at the moment, but now that we've started re-batching failed files it's the next thing that is being worked on. However, if you'd like your images removed right away, contact artists@istockphoto.com and they'll get them pulled from the partner sites for you.

^ ^ That's exactly what I was hoping the answer would be. Cheers Adam!
