I have an idea for photographers out there who may not easily be able to get people shots. Business / people shots are good sellers, so my idea is that some 7 or 8 istockers who don't mind being on the other end of the camera sometimes get together under the following rules. (i) Someone has to provide a location, ie an office area on a Saturday or Sunday. (ii) Some one, or more than one provide some lighting /flash units. (iii) Everyone come dressed in business attire. Then each take it in turn to direct the type of shots they want. I would like to participate in something like this but spending most of my time in Thailand it is unlikely I can, but I'm sure this type of thing could work in some big city locations.

or if you're ever in Virginia, I'm in. I know a few local iStockers that would also like to join in.

the Fort Worth/Dallas istockers had a nice group that got together every three to four months to either have lunch or do a shoot with models. The last one I attended was at a new Retirement living center with many residents as models plus some of the staff. Being a sweet little old gray-haired granny, I spent as much time in front of the camera as I did behind it. (I have since moved 300 miles out of the area so I'm not sure they're still active, but it was great for the 2 or 3 years we all participated.)
Good luck with your planning and have fun!
