When to join the Partner Program?

Hi, I'm currently a Non-Exclusive but I'll become an Exclusive soon. I am best to wait to become Exclusive before joining the Partner Program?


My interpretation of 18 month image age limits makes think so. What do you think?

You can join the PP whenever you like. It is just when you do become exclusive, you make sure that any file that is younger than 18 months old and that you want to appear on Istock is deselected from the partner program. You can do that in MyUploads/Partner Program just uncheck them. Eventually they will become unavailable there but it wont affect their visibility here.

Sound like that if I join the Partner Program when I'm Non-Exclusive and then become Exclusive I'll have to manually go through my portfolio and de-select all the files that are under 18 months old. That's my understand of the FAQ. If that is correct I rather wait until I'm Exclusive so then automatically only the files older than 18 months are added to the Partner Program.

You have the option to opt-in specific files whether you're exclusive or not, so you can also opt-in now, and only send files that are older than 18 months to the partner program. You've got less than 100 images in your portfolio, so it should only take you a few minutes to toggle the older files individually.

The other thing is that the addition of files is not automatic. You still need to make sure that your newer files are not selected to add to the Partner Program.


Do as Asylumdown suggested and just go through your port and select the older files to add to the Partner Program now.
