I challenge you to a Steel Cage Match! Handbags at 20 paces!

now what should we do, i plum for totally free reign to do whatever we see fit with whatever we get from the other battler!

Posted Mon Apr 10, 2006 6:30AM

I Accept your challenge, but you will have to post the first blow!

i also plum for TOTAL and COMPLETE free reign!!

and pray that may i find a web cafe that permits me to upload efficiently on my travels..

amen to that and a 100% fairy-free battle ..

hey, remember there is a 3 day limit, you must fire back within that time...

I'll have a doodle in PS after food

OK, first throw.... its a weird one, kinda evolved from the last match, the lines idea.

Let me know if the file size is OK, if you are traveling as you said, maybe I should trim down the layers a little more

*used all my own stock.

Way to use your noodle!

very interesting match starter... haven't seen anything like this before in a battle (not that I get around to them much). it's both cute & darkly depressing... like a kid stuck inside doodling on a rainy day, with worms burrowing in his skull. Or something...

I like the grunge! Very nice, very nice. And the little doodles are sweet!

this is a really nice and different start. I think Darklight has it right - cute yet depressing. Lots of room for specular to make his/her move

*Specular* is having trouble posting the blow it seems, and site mail isn't working for her either, so i got an email telling me this.

hoping this is a current email address...

aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrcccckkkkkk[[;olop[[[]
.. i've been trying in vain
since morning to post my reply to your first swipe but as neither the forum or
sitemails are working for me i tracked down your address down from your website.
these are the issues i've been struggling with for weeks now.

*edited to protect the innocent* (it just said some stuff about me posting Specular's blow)

if you do decide
to speak on my behalf here's my
post:

thanks for including
one of my favourite paintings of yours, pdt you know i'm too broke to d/l
anything so mine will also be all original also..

i like darklightmedia's
description of this .. i think it's like 'miro grunge'.. (thanks for keeping it
simple for the cage virgin)

don't worry - the file size is fine. I'll be
working on this between house-hunting/bus-hopping/whatever so I might just throw
something together really sloppy-like.. or make you wait till
wednesday..

i'll make certain the time fairy won't get a look in on this
match so stay tuned..

Eek - two of my CN homies goin' at it. Who shall I root for, the battle-worn veteran or the newcomer?

seems trouble is working it way through the cage...lot of upload issues...

typing from a grimy inner-city internet terminal (the lengths i go to for a game!) where i have access at last! yippee!!

how many hours have i got to finish this sucker and post? i can't work it out being in different timezones and all..

Posted Thu Apr 13, 2006 7:36AM

you won't believe the night i'll have due to my fiddling with this piece an hour longer than the time i allotted.. missed the last bus home tonight for the sake of this battle!

i hope it was worth it..

Posted Thu Apr 13, 2006 7:39AM
the rough edges and paper cut-out effect was a deliberate effect, ok!
Posted Thu Apr 13, 2006 12:53PM

OK, so I have three days from now, not tonight, maybe tomorrow night I'll have a go at it

its going to be a tricky ine
