A real bummer but certainly put me down for October as well please, it will be too good to miss.

So far all but two venues have confirmed the move to the end of October. We are however, still trying to work through this. November 1st is a bit contentious due to Melbourne Cup Day (I guess it really IS the race that stops a nation).
An important change here is going to be around pricing. Without the istock subsidy for being a mini-lypse, the base costs will increase. I'm able to absorb some of it, but the regular pricing will be increasing by $20 across the board for each ticket category as of August 31. I'll honour the early pricing previosuly advertised, but only until the end of August.

Hey Brisbane folk - how are the waters of Moreton Bay looking now? For the boat shoot we have the option of the Stella Maris II out of Broadbeach at the Gold Coast, or the Dick Wittington out of Capalaba.
The Stella Maris is confined to the Broadwater (the lagoon at Surfers paradise) but can access some remote looking areas. It has a limit of 4 photographers and costs $137.50ea in addition to the shoot.
The DIck Wittington is able to sail around various locations in Moreton Bay - especially the many islands in the southern region near North Stradbroke Island, and being a catamaran will be able to carry a lot more people, possibly for a lot less dollars (still negotiating). I'm not sure though, what the state of the bay is after the floods. I hear the marine life has returned and the water is pretty clear.
Also, if the price were the same, which would you prefer?

Both options will give you very different images. The broadwater obviously offers the GC water lifestyle/. Moreton Bay is back to looking good. I'd also head over to The Wrecks at Tangalooma. And given you can fit a lot more people on the Dick Wittington, this is probably a better option.

I'm imagining that Moreton Bay is more wildlife oriented?
I think if there's a beach or two we can pull into and get some shallow water shots, and have activity around the boat, then that should be fine.
But it's not up to me - what do the photographers planning to come want to shoot?

Meet our first group of models. They'll be doing our contra shoots for Eagle Street Pier and Waterfront Place in early August
The young 'uns are being sourced through Mirror Mirror Agencies who've been a great help getting some local talent organised for us.
More will be added here in the coming weeks.

We're a go for November 5th through to the 8th. I've made some updates to the schedule. Pricing on the site will also be updated later today.
Once I get confirmation on the Dick Wittington (even if that means it's a no-go), I'll update details for Day 2.
If you've registered but not paid yet, I'll be sending out new invoices over the coming days. Otherwise, make sure you've registered, as the cheaper tickets end on August 31st and ticket sales close off completely on October 2nd.

Does anyone have a camera that can shoot video? We're a step closer to securing the Dick Wittington, however they'd like us to do some video for them as well.

We're now set up on eventbrite for people to pay via credit card if needed

The Dick Whittington has now been secured for a day cruise to Tangalooma and the shipwrecks there. That now gives us a complete schedule, though we've obviously had to forego Irish Murphy's, and thus, the saloon concept (sorry Jandrie - maybe if/when we do Ballarat and Sovereign Hill ).
