As we have hinted in the meetups forum, and as you probably saw in the main forum announcement... We're going to Brazil!

iStock was in Sao Paulo this past January partnered with the WPO, and it was so awesome that we knew immediately that we’d be back… Now we are very excited to announce that iStock is coming to Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro this September!

We’ll be in Brazil hosting two minilypse photography events designed to gather authentic local content to grow the Brazilian market and very importantly, to help us meet more of the local iStock community.

Each event will be a weekend of shooting: complete with models, lights, professional styling and hosted by well-known iStock Inspectors and Administrators:

Along with superstars Studioxil, Juliaxil and EricVega
Supported by the local Brazilian iStock office team Ana, Julieta and Simone.
In addition, we've got a tremendous team of local iStockers on board. From Rio de Janeiro we have EduLeite and Luoman. From Sao Paulo we have Luso, Lucato and ElianaDulins

On top of all that shooting and people coolness, we’ve also planned some time to discuss the market, the objectives and your thoughts about stock… oh yes, and in the true spirit of iStock - there’ll be a great party to wrap it all up!

We only have a limited number of spaces available for attendees, so this event is for Brazlians (with the exception of a space at each event which we will draw for!)

So please let RichVintage or Echodelta know if you’re a Brazilian and interested in attending! Or if you're from outside of Brazil and want to be entered into the draw for that spot.... Either way, we’ll enter your name into the draw for a chance to join the iStock event of the year. We’ll do the draw at the end of July – giving you plenty of time to see if you can clear your schedule and join us for an incredible weekend. There’s no price for an attendee ticket, and the interest is big – so please let us know right away if you’re interested in shooting. If you're keen to just come and meet up, we welcome everyone to join socially too.

Greetings everybody! I am excited for the opportunity to lead these two events. I had fantastic time earlier this year in Sao Paulo, and I can't wait to make it back to Brazil in September. 

I will do my best to make all attendees feel comfortable and confident. Stay tuned for updates as they come, and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. 

If you are interested in attending and would like to get into the yellow bucket for a ticket, only one lucky person will get chosen for each location in Brazil (non-Brazilians). Please sitemail me or Elissa (echodelta) to put your name in the bucket.

Tentative themes and ideas so far (subject to change):

Rio de Janeiro dates: Friday Sept 23, Saturday Sept 24, Sunday Sept 25
• Focus will be "Outdoor Lifestyle" and will include beach, Soccer, Runway, Beach “Quiosque” 
• The themes we want to create include vitality, fun, pride, celebration, aspiration

Sao Paulo dates: Friday Sept 30, Saturday Oct 1, Sunday Oct 2
• Focus will be "Indoor Lifestyle" and will include a restaurant/ bar, school (private), and gym/ fitness, Business Meetings
• The themes we want to create include fitness & appearance, relationships, culinary/ social culture, learning
