![]() ![]() Posted Wed Aug 10, 2011 3:42AM | Around a year ago, when the switch to RCs was first announced, I posted a question here about showing these as a daily total on the stats graph page (as they are very relevant to contributors); is this likely to happen before the RC first anniversary? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Sun Aug 21, 2011 7:39PM | I agree on this... Is the any way someone (I have no idea how to) could make a GM script to add this... at least for now? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Mon Aug 22, 2011 6:04PM | I definitely agree with this! We should all have a RC graph on the Stats page, one on the individual file's page, and a "Credits" column on our My Uploads page. It's pretty crummy that we either have to keep track of it ourselves or blindly trust iStock. This number determines our pay grade. So, these features should have rolled out soon after they implemented the RC! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Tue Aug 23, 2011 8:08AM | It's definitely something that I find useful to look at on the Android app - LiveStock and I think this would make an excellent suggestion - if the OP would care to post this in that forum - or I can move this - whichever. |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Tue Aug 23, 2011 1:16PM | I think it would be useful to have it implemented in the android app, but I think it is mostly needed here in the website as part of the standard stats page... In that case moving the thread to the suggestions would be probably a better idea (although I'm not sure is that corner of the forums is actually been visited and viewed by many people. I did this same suggestion a while back ...not very popular). |
![]() ![]() Posted Tue Aug 23, 2011 2:03PM | Feel free to move it Kelvin - I didn't post it there initially as the messages appear to be ignored. At least on this page it generates some comment. Re Livestock, I was told the RC is data is unreliable because of the way it interacts with the IS interface. If you check your historical totals and compare them with your stats page you should see quite large discrepancy - mine shows over 30% less in LS than the actual on IS. |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Tue Aug 23, 2011 2:13PM | Interesting, I'll have to take a closer look at that. |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Tue Aug 23, 2011 6:25PM | Just to add a bit more detail - RC data is unreliable because nowhere do iStock tell us anything about how many credits were used in a particular sale of a particular file. It's easy to see how many credits a file would cost if it was bought right now, but when it was bought a year ago...your exclusivity status may have changed, it may have been in a different collection, there might have been a sale on, or the price of a file at that particular size might have changed since then. It's a bit odd that RCs are so important yet it's the one thing we don't have any specific data for at the level of individual sales. An official stats graph (and real historical RC data) would indeed be lovely! |
