The tool provides a more comfortable way to manage your lightboxes.

Features:

- Dropdown box with all personal lightboxes

- Automatically detects if you are inside a lightbox and auto-selects the corresponding entry in the dropdown

- Add/Remove all buttons for easy management of the whole page

- Toggle controls button for showing single-click per-file controls. Very easy to add/remove a file with +/- buttons. (NOTE: Click hide and then show if you move to a different search page)

- Go to LB button allowing the user to visit any lightbox easily

- Single-click add a single file. Works in file closeup page and file edit page (yes, now you can add files to lightboxes even before inspect)

- Status field showing current state

- The whole interface is placed on a separate top menu bar for easy use. So it won't mess up with other GM tools loaded.

*Tested and works in Firefox and Opera. Please try it in other browsers and comment on bugs/issues/feature requests.

Have fun!

Wiki page and Download: iStock Lightbox Tool

Update
(24-Oct-2011):

New version. Added features as requested:

- The script remembers last selected lightbox
- Added a 'Toggle LB tool" menu item (main menu far right)

Wiki page and Download for the improved version here

If you install this version - uninstall/disable the previous one.

NOTE: This version works only in Firefox due to the fact that other browswers don't support the GM_get/setValue methods used to store current lightbox and interface state. If you use other browser - use the first version.

ETA: Should work in Chrome too. (thanks to theasis)

ETA: Moved to Google Code iStock Greasemonkey Tools Project

Update 06-Sept-2012 (added by pink_cotton_candy)
For Chrome users New change in Chrome requires downloading from the Chrome Web Store.

Until it's at the Web Store, there is a simple workaround with a few more steps shown down at the bottom - "Steps on adding extensions from other websites" shown in blue at http://support.google.com/chrome_webstore/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=2664769&p=crx_warning

Very nice. This will be useful, thanks!

I have a couple simple suggestions for the future...

1.) Confirm/alert when clicking Add all or Remove all

2.) Add a show/hide toggle button for the bar on top, so I can use it when I want to, but hide it when I don't (as opposed to enabling/disabling the script.)

Seems to work like a charm!

Thanks neat tool. Would love to see something like this for adding files to E+ as the current method is so cumbersome.

Well... I was aiming exactly at skipping endless confirmations and dialogs. That's why I made everything to be single-click. Maybe I can include this as an option in next version if others also consider it useful. Thanks for the suggestions

Good work. Thanks!

Edit to add: a nice addition would be for the script to remember and pre-select the lightbox that was last selected in the drop-down menu, so that it doesn't go back to the first in the list when you move to a new page. (I'll see about adding that myself when I get time, if you don't have time or don't care to).

Second edit to add:

I'm using it in Chrome successfully.

Moving to the first in the list is not normal behavior. Does it happen in Chrome only? In Opera and Firefox the tool remembers what you have selected and doesn't change it when you browse pages of the same search.

Ah - I'm meaning not within the same search.

The use case I'm particularly thinking of is when new files from a series are in the process of being accepted. From the my_uploads page I go to the specific image page and add that image to, for example, my Naked Christmas Business Goldfish lightbox. An hour later when I go to look at what other new files have been accepted, it would be nice if it remembered that the last LB I was adding files to was Naked Christmas Business Goldfish.

Maybe it would be more useful to make the +/- controls be able to appear directly in the My Uploads page?
