JANUARY BUG REPORTS - READ THIS BEFORE YOU START A NEW THREAD

/This is a bit lengthy, but its from a buyer and I hope you read it.


I have just bought 29 pics that I need for my current project. I had them all in a lightbox, so I clicked on the "buy" option on the bottom of the lightbox. All the pics appeared with the possibility to choose the size and a download button - in my case, they were spread about two pages.


So my next step was to take my list and enter the needed size for every pic - first the 20 of the first page, then the 9 on the second. Every pic now showed the needed amount of credits. Then I started downloading. I could not see a button that would allow me to download all at once, so I downloaded them one-by-one.


First problem: After every download the standard little window pops up with some text and the button "Continue browsing". I clicked it and was leaded to the homepage. My mistake I thought and pressed the "Back"-Button of my browser which was the only possibility to return to my download page. It was there - the size entries were still there - but mysteriously now every pic cost 0 credits. I downloaded the next, my credit balance did not change at the bottom of the page, only in the little window it was displayed correctly. I went on without using the "continue browsing" any more but closing the window every time it appeared.


Second problem: After I had completely downloaded the nine pics of the second page I clicked on the "1" to go to the first page and all the entries of size were gone. I had to redo all the 20 entries, and I would love to have been notified when leaving the page, that all my entries will be gone then.

This is an old bug, but worth bringing to the table again with the announcement of the newsletter stuff. Myself along with a vast number of people still do not receive any of the newsletters or Hot Shots or promos despite having the boxes ticked in the preference page.

It's probably been like this, but I just noticed. Vetta files on the image page say "Collections: Vetta Collection" toward the bottom right. There is no similar statement on the Agency file page.

"Preferences""Show adult content" is reset by itself to "Off" once in while.

Partner program automatically opt out again today!! I opt-in again but anyone know how much time I need to wait before that opt-in take effect? Thanks! I am really tired of keeping checking the status (opt-in/out) of parter program everyday!

Just noticed that the Nominate for Vetta box is no longer available for new uploads, at least for mine.  The check box was there last week.  Is this a known problem?

Just got a file accepted and noticed that the banners I usually put in the description area weren't showing up.  When I went in to edit the file and see what was wrong I saw that all the backslashes and punctuation in the UBB code and URLs were changed to periods and random spaces. 


I was able to fix and save over the issues successfully, but thought I should report the odd behavior.  Thanks!

Those can cause issues with the description field.

nope, just regular web address and UBB markup — backslashes and underscores and dashes were switched out with periods and spaces.  No other special characters included.  I just had another file approved that didn't have this problem, so I'm not sure what's going on.  Could be an isolated incident with a particular inspector?

Ok so I found it again in a couple of recent uploads.  I went back to take a look and the description fields appear blank.  When I open them up to edit this is an example of what I find (I added one space before the first & second img tag so that it will show up here):

I found 4 files affected by this - one on the 15th, two on the 16th, and one on the 17th.  Each of those days I also uploaded files which did not end up having this issue.

The site continues to automatically opt-me-in to PP although I have opted out 3 times this crazy checkbox since 1.Dec.

Is the "500 Dls criteria"  also a requirement for becoming an exclusive illustrator?

Hi debela, yes the exclusivity requirements are the same across all file types.

I don't know if this is a bug but it's bugging me. When I clik on write blog post and and the page opens to add a post there are icons at the bottom of the text box, one of those is a camera icon. I can enter my comments and add a post but I can't insert a file because when I click on the camera icon the window to enter the file number doesn't work. If I change my preferences from WYSIWYG to UBB the icons disappear and I still can't add a file with links.

Anyone experiencing this problem? Thanks for the help!

UBB does not use the wysiwyg icon interface. I mentioned this in the numberous site mails we have shared. I also provided a link to UBB code cheat sheet. There are plenty more on the internet that will assist you. It's a known bug that isn't high on the totem pole of bug fixes, much to my chagrin.

I can no longer use the headings Participate and Help (Photo through Flash works normally).


If I want to open Forums I have to start from history and once in I can navigate as usual between the different forums.


I am on MAC Snow Leopaed and Firefox 3.6.13
