It's official: 2012 is the Year of the Minilypse

We have a strategy, a solid structure to support it and the spirit of the community to drive it. These get-togethers are an integral part of the culture of the iStock community, and we're very pleased to be able to expand the Minilypse Program (in familiar areas and new cool areas that are exciting and uncharted). We want to give you more tools to successfully organize events in all mediums, and we want iStockers across the globe to experience the intangible goodness of a Lypse.

We are looking forward to working in a more integrated way, to bring Lypse to you. We are tremendously excited to unveil this to the community and look forward to a bright year and many beyond!

Will there be an announcement of any official HQ sponsored events soon? My schedule tends to fill up a couple of months in advance, so I need to plan, and I know they tend to pop up last minute (several weeks before)...

Is the example that Elissa used in her write-up (Photo / Nov 9-11, 2012 / Frozenlypse / Calgary, Alberta Canada) going to actually happen - or was it just an example?  If it is happening, can I sign-up now?  Please?  I would love to go back to Calgary and a Lypse would be the perfect excuse!

It was just an example, sorry I should have used a date in the past If it were to become real, I'd start a thread though - I promise!

I hope to take part in some lypse in this 2012 ....

that of Milan was a great event and I will be forever grateful to those who have made this possible, and the HQ Istock lypse team .....

I think everyone should take part in a lypse sooner or later .... is an event that you do not forget. i'm excited for the next announce !

I hope I get to take part in some of these since my yellow bucket luck suckssss. I would love to go to some cool places and meet as many iStocker as possible. London was great, SLC lypse with Rich is always a blast since that dude is freaking awesome. I'm do for a new lypse!
