Posted Thu Jan 5, 2012 5:34PM | How about putting a calendar list of dates together of the official Istockalypse events for the comming year or whatever is practical? As mentioned people need to make arrangements, save, plan, decide, get time off work.... Also seperate real printed calendars could even be made using images, vectors... from previous years events and could be handed out in swagbags etc...
Badges! Badges we need those shiney badges! . How about the organisers of minilypses receiving a special badge for their hard work and efforts and maybe a contest badge or such for a lucky attendee at the mini events?
Anyway great work Istock on new Lypse program, it can be a becon and shine it's light all around for others to see what a great place this is .

The Minilypse forum will be just that, a calendar and quick reference guide to global events. Following the format you'll be able to view plans for the year at a glance, by medium and by location. As for the iStockalypse events, we'll announce those soon

Indeed, bling for a job well done is a good reward. That said, at the moment we're still weighing out the options for how best to bestow bragging rights on Minilypse hosts |

3) Go ahead and post a thread in the Minilypse Forum to gauge interest. Share your ideas with the community and let the idea grow.
- start a forum thread using this format:
Medium / Dates / Event Name / Location
Photo / Nov 9-11, 2012 / Frozenlypse / Calgary, Alberta Canada
(Note: If you need a hand changing a title around, just let one of the Admins know)
- Include some potential activities and the vibe you want the event to have. Maybe it's a photo weekend or photo holiday, or maybe it's an illustration reference event, perhaps it's a video verite vibe.
Can we start a thread to see if there is interest in our idea before we have a name or date or do we need to follow this format? |

Nice to hear that things are in the works ... would that apply to events of the past, or just the future ones? |

Yes please! Definitely start threads for ideas and brainstorming with whatever you've got and try to follow the format as best you can and just list your -ish times.... we will update it to be closer in line with the format as it blossoms
ETA: -ish names and -ish times

May I make a suggestion- I think when posting mini lypses the person should spell out the month instead of just writing numbers
Like July 7-10 2012 because there is a lypse posted that I don't know what month they are talking about. We all write dates differently and that is the easiest to read when going down the forum list. Thanks!
