This Norway brown rat Rattus norvegicus has found its way onto quite a few 'pest' web sites. Unfortunately, it seems that pest controllers don't feel the need to credit the photographer or the agent next to the photograph: 1, 2, 3, 4 .

Or the rat. I'm assuming you did get a model release, Roger? Nice finds, though, and a particularly nice rat - it looks clean and rather cuddly.

Nice finds Roger. That looks a particularly well fed rat! Lot's of bird tables round there or a grain store or something?

It's a small park alongside the river where ducks, geese, herons and brown rats get stuffed with bread and peanuts, ready for Christmas. The rats like to relax by executing a leisurely crawl amongst the old sewage pipes issuing from the water mill.
