The license agreement needs to be amended to say something like "This agreement may be terminated at any time by either the purchaser or istock. Notwithstanding, refunds for such termination of a license will only be made during the first 30 days after a work has been downloaded."
The agreement already says no fitness for purpose is warrantied or implied, so certain kinds of refunds are already discretionary. Discretionary refunds should not affect a contributor's royalties but should be reimbursed solely by istock.
