We are working on a proposal. The entire thing (including graphics) need to be searchable. So I've been exporting my Illustrator graphics as emfs and then inserting them in Word (yes, we have to use Word...don't get me started). In general this has been working okay. However, there are a couple of the larger graphics that appear pixelated when printed. It looks like it is a problem when exporting from Illustrator to emf. But I'm not sure how to change that. Anyone have any experience with emfs or searchable graphics? THANKS!!!

My condolences... :-/ Exporting as AI8 EPS may work better for you. Word can handle EPS files.

try .wmf format instead of .emf
I use CorelDraw for illustrations and it will not export .eps as RGB (CMYK/Pantone only). I have found in both Publisher & Word that, while .eps files will import, they are memory suckers within the document.
Out of curiosity, how are you able to search for the images?
