The main pimp thread in the forum is open for people to suggest ideas, so that can be done, though they don't get prizes for their suggestions. My biggest concern is that the ideas won't always be content that iStock is looking for.
We're open to the idea of turning the Challenge into a pimping thread for the vector forum, maybe with monthly or bi-monthly themes. If everyone's OK with this, I can talk to Pink_Cotton_Candy about setting it up for us?

Then why not start with the themes from 'what iStock needs': 'professions', 'lifestyle', 'hand drawn art work', 'holiday concepts', 'seasonal concepts' and 'family themes'?
For instance on family themes:
- children of the world
- let us see your Dads
- we want to know your Moms
Not in that order but something from every theme at random, and when we're finished we start all over again…
If you want I can make a few lists.

And you could keep it monthly but announce the themes quarterly so people have time to work on it ahead...

However it is decided you might consider making it an 'only work done for the contest specificly' situation - all the stuff that doesn't really fit but gets added with a stretching explanation kind of takes energy away from the whole thing

Despite the fact that in recent history I was mainly a stalker, I do miss the challenge.

hi everyone! we've turned the challenge into a monthly pimping thread. It's no longer a contest but a showcase for your work. I've started a new thread that will go until the end of the month. From there, we'll concentrate on needed items found in this article.
Each month, post up to three files already in your portfolio and as many as you like that you create new for the theme. Make sure you give a little detail (like a title) in your post about each file since Google search indexes our forums very well.
As soon as people realize this has started, we'll move the post up top and make it sticky each month.
