I have made a very simple spread sheet to try to make the job of selecting which size image I need easier. Anyone can download it in xlsx format here. My suggestion is to have such a simple tool as some type of java script on IS site. Might be useful to people??

What do you mean "selecting which size image I need"?

I need to have an image print at a certain number of pixels per inch, and it needs to be a certain size on the printed page, hence I need to find out which image size I need buy.

Something more complex than 200 dpi for a 4x6 space = 800x1200, so see what image is just smaller than that?

If only life were so simple, I have many sizes of projects from small carton boxes to large posters to consider.

Maybe not as detailed as you want but doesn't clicking on "Inches" give you a quick idea of the file size?

Yes true, but at only two options for dpi. I suppose it's easy enough to do a rough calculation in ones head, but I like to do things more preceisly to prevent errors. I think others make errors too sometimes. When selling pics I've had files returned on occasion and notice that the same file is then purchased at a larger size. I assume someone bought the file too small to start with.
