Team Battle

So its been a while since we have had a team battle, but a few have organized one and lucky me I got included.
The full details are being worked out, but we are looking at doing something a little different for this battle.
Hence this post, unlike traditional battles that are played round by round, we will all create our designs at the same time, over a few weeks, then uploading one after the other into a traditional battle thread.
The battle will be a visual response to a set theme, which we are still bouncing around ideas.

But because this is slightly different this post will substitute for the battle thread so all the usual banter and pudding slinging can happen right here until we come to the upload phase.

Im very excited about this one as a lot of heavyweights are joining in so im sure we will see some spectacular art.

Teams and theme are yet to be sorted but hopefully that's where you all can help.

By the way if anyone would ever like to organize a team battle please let me know.
We have specific usernames in place, as long as all the organization is done prior there yours to use.

Awesome news and with that list of battlers we should see some outstanding art.


I see you even got Nikki to come out of hiding and that's not easy to do.

Oh, much better here!    I love the idea about the 10 random emotions. I think if we had 1 main image (same for everyone) and 10 different emotions, that would be awesome!

I'm gonna throw three cents at the ten emotions idea.

A common image is fine by me, but I would like it to not be a dominate part of the composition. Wasn't there a team battle where everyone worked in the istock logo? I was thinking something unobtrusive. The thing I love most about the cage is the variety of styles and approaches.

I see the light! I see the light! I'm definitely up for this team battle if there's any room left? . I've not forgotten about our battle Che, just been finishing up a few projects.

Ialso like the idea of 10 emotions....will we each just choose one or will we be assigned one?  I also agree with Darabia.  the less obtrusive the item the more possibilities.

I'm gonna throw in four cents at the 10 emotions idea...with one common image. 


Also, Darabia mentioned the istock logo inclusion...I think this could be very nice and istock might could do some cool t-shirts of the winning design. I know I would buy it! Sorry...my marketing curse...

Suggestions for the 10 emotions: love, anger, pride, fear, surprise, sadness, shame, courage, desire, guilt.

For me it's completely fine if the common image is not obtrusive!

Hi guys! The emotion idea sounds good. If we are choosing and emotion as the theme, we don't necessarily need a common element. The emotion could guide the design or an element could, but both are not needed. When iStock did the "10 years" logo battle, the logo was an afterthought in the designs.


The teams have been proposed and the emotion theme seems acceptable. We need to decide how the emotions will be distributed and we need to set a completion date for all. Ideas for choosing emotions: 1) Choose a random emotion you like. 2) Be assigned an emotion from a proposed list, base on our team order. As far as due date, something early-mid June?


We are very close, lets wrap this up so we can get to work
