I am considering a Minilypse in Lansing Michigan. I'd like to see how many people would be interested in attending, as well as find people to help with planning and concepting.

The theme is placemaking. Michigan is a national leader in placemaking, and I think there is a need statewide for content related to travel and city imagery that has a strong sense of place. As well as a national need for content related to the general concept of placemaking.

I have been curating a lightbox of Michigan imagery, and have found that there is a real lack of lifestyle imagery. I think this shoot should focus on lifestyle imagery of people within the context of Michigan places. A couple locations that I am thinking of are: Potter Park Zoo, The Capitol Building and Grounds, Old Town, Lugnuts Stadium, Rio Town, 4H Childrens Gardens, Cooley Gardens, Sleepy Hallow State Park, MSU Campus, an outdoor cafe downtown, a clothing boutique, a bakery, and a studio lighting workshop at Perspective 2 (with models and props to shoot placemaking concepts).

Let me know:
1. If you would be interested in attending.
2. If you want to help with planning and execution.
3. Any dates this fall that I should avoid.

Currently this project is on hold. I am thinking of rescheduling for Spring of 2013.

oh I am very interested! I live in Chatham Ontario so not far away at all. I'd be happy to help out if I can and I think everyone is open to paying a fee to help offset costs smile

Edited to add that I vote for any week other than October 5 - 8th when some of us will be at the Raleigh-lypse

I am interested in attending! I'm primarily a vector artist but I would like to develop my skills more as a photographer. I wouldn't mind a small fee, and I don't mind helping out in any way that I can. I'd be open to any place in Michigan... I live south of Windsor, Ontario so I'm not far away at all.
