Being new to iStockaudio i am trying to get my head around the best 25 keywords that will allow my files to found!

Most of my material falls into 4 'styles' as I see it. It's all electronic and basically AMBIENT, ACTION (TECHNO), HORROR, NEWS...

Is there a way of seeing the most searched for keywords? or other techniques to ensure your files are found?

I have read all the FAQ's and comments in previous posts but still not entirely sure how to progress

hey there and welcome!  I am definitely not great at keywordsd either, and my portfolio is pretty small, however one thing I have noticed is it does take some months for things to kind of circulate into the system, regardless of keywords.  best thing is to just keep building a great portfolio and the views and downloads will come over time!  If your keywords are accurate to your music, you are doing the best!  I know they also recommend thinking of emotive keywords that descirbe the music as well as genre, does that help a bit?

Hi there. It's very good You are thinking about the keywords.. But if You want to be a really accurate, 25 keywords are a bit too many (my oppinion)... Stick with less keys... Use mood keywords, genre keywords, instrments keywords, choose those keys which describe Your music, and not the place where it should be used.. If it's seasonal winter song, don't key it as a let's say "snowman".. Unless there are some lyrics about the snowmen.. But still a buyer typing snowman into the search would like to find visual content and not audio.. I hope You got it

Anyway, You won't find any information wich keys are most searchable or so... Concentrate on what You create! And You should be rewarded

yes, you can edit the files even if they're uploaded but not yet approved, just go to my uploads and go to edit on the file(s) you are wanting to re-work

You don't need to delete them.. You can just edit them as thefurnaceroom said You can edit keywords whether they are aprooved or not.. And by the way..

You should also consider to read this thread.. As there are many info about keywording.. And about that there are some forbidden keywords like "business"....
